When I was a little girl, my Sunday School teacher was a fashion model, and on more than one occasion she encouraged me to model; she raved about my hair and told me to model my hair. Thank you, Susan for your encouragement and advice because recently, I was in a hair commercial.

I had the opportunity to be in a Child Safety film to show the dangers of corded blinds for windows.

Recently KSL News did a TV news report on children dying from window-blind cords that highlighted snippits from the film I’m in called “In an Instant:” KSL News Article on dangers of Window-Blind Cords
KSL News used “In an Instant” short film to portray some of the reenactment; the shoot for “In an Instant” was very sobering as some of the mothers from the national organization: Parents for Window Blind Safety Foundation were on set. Each mother had lost a child due to corded blinds and strangulation. I play a mother in the short film, “In an Instant” and I have an adorable on-set husband and two children.

Please be aware of these dangers especially if you have children. I’m so grateful to have been a part of this project to create some awareness on this danger. For more information on Parents for Window Blind Safety go to parentsforwindowblindsafety.org
